engaged
I proposed to Corinne on Saturday night and she said yes!
We drove into Atlanta for the weekend to see a concert at the fabulous Fox Theatre. I wanted to keep things casual so I would catch her off guard. We took Marta down to North Avenue and met my cousin Ben at the Varsity. We hung around for a while and then made our way over to Peachtree Street to see the crowd gathering by the Fox. We had a drink and my good friend Josh helped me get the ring and my camera in without Corinne seeing.
As soon as I had the ring back and we were both inside, I became extremely nervous and needed to go ahead and ask her. She went downstairs to the restrooms and I told her I'd meet her in a nearby sitting area. When she arrived, she sat next to me and I immediately started to ask her. At first she thought I was just joking around, but when I pulled the ring out she turned as pale as a ghost. She was speechless for several minutes so I just hugged her and held her in my arms. Eventually she began laughing and kissing me and making sure she said yes. The band had already begun so we hurried into the theatre to find our way to our seats. Thank you so much to Josh for getting us the front row center seats!
After the show, I had a limo waiting to take us home, all the way up Peachtree Street. After a night of surprises for Corinne, my parents had one more in store for the both of us. When the limo got to my street we came around the corner and our house was lit up with Christmas lights. My parents were waiting up for us on the porch and taking pictures as we arrived. The four of us sat out drinking Champaign and eating chocolate-covered strawberries into the wee hours of the morning. It was a night I know Corinne and I will remember forever.

How could have Corinne said no, anyway? I'm so happy I have you as a brother Mike. My love to you both.
